Terror Ends: Police Nab Kidnapper, Rescue Students
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, the two victims, Sadiq Adinoy and Sakina Adinoy, were abducted during the onslaught of their lodge in Lafia.
“A distress call was made to the Nasarawa State Police Command on the 30th day of March, 2025, around 2120hrs, whereby suspected Kidnappers attacked a student lodge behind Nasara Estate, Tudun Kauri, Lafia. During the attack, two students of the Federal University Lafia, Sadiq Adinoyi and Sakina Adinoyi, were abducted,” states the report.

The report states, “Promptly acting upon the instructions of the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, psc, mnips, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and ‘A’ Division, Lafia were mobilized to go after the criminals.”

According to the statement, “Based on technical intelligence, a rescue operation was carried out on the 1st day of April, 2025, at about 1130hrs in the forest at the back of the 500 Housing Unit along Doma Road, Lafia.”
The statement held that during a rescue operation, a gunfight occurred between the police operatives and the kidnappers, whose superior firepower forced the kidnappers to flee in various directions, abandoning the victims who were subsequently rescued.
The suspect, Ibrahim Musa of Abuni village, was arrested at the scene and has made useful statements, aiding the ongoing investigation.

Commending the Anti-Kidnapping Unit for their dogged pursuit of the criminal, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed reaffirmed the commitment of the Command towards tackling crime. He urged officers to remain focused in their mission to rid the state of criminal activities.”
