Bashir El-rufai, the son of former Kaduna State governor and former FCT minister, Nasir El-rufai is reportedly set to divorce his wife and take another wife.

Bashir reportedly revealed the development during a banter on X.

El-rufai had earlier tweeted on his official X handle about a lady, implying that he wants a baby girl with the said lady by September.

His tweet was however met by backlash from concerned followers and X users with some enquiring if he was not already married.

Reacting to his tweet, an X user @Sarkinnomaa said, “Bashir El’rufai is a big simp…and he’s married”.

Responding to the comment, Bashir El-rufai wrote, “I’m not married yet, I am divorced.”

Following more criticism, the former minister’s son then revealed that the said lady in the photo was his fiancé.

Explaining further, he wrote, “Yes, she’s from Bida and yes I divorced my first wife. (I have no time for GenZ wahala). The difference is clear, I had no clue Nupe women treat their husbands like emperors. Loving it”

The development has since stirred mixed reactions from social media users and supporters.
