Nigerian comedian Basketmouth is having major sticker shock over Burna Boy’s performance fees! Apparently, the Afrobeats star rakes in a cool $3-4 million for a single show. According to Basketmouth, that kind of money would make him retire on the spot: “If they pay me that for a show, that will certainly be my last show.”
This news comes hot on the heels of Burna Boy himself revealing he turned down a whopping $5 million gig in Dubai because…well, they wouldn’t let him smoke weed there. Priorities, right? Burna, ever the “African Giant,” made this known in a viral video, leaving fans both amused and impressed.
But Burna Boy’s big bucks rejections don’t stop there. Comedian Mr Jollof also claims Burna turned down a $1 million performance at a concert he was organizing. Looks like Burna Boy is playing for keeps, and only the best offers (and smoking freedoms) will do!
