The song ‘MMS’ by Asake and Wizkid took home the Best Afro-Native Song honor. ‘Lungu Boy’, his third album, includes the single.
Street-pop artist Seyi Vibez took home the Best Male Artist honor, while sensational singer Ayra Starr took home the Best Female Artist in West Africa title.

Popular rapper OdumoduBlvckwas bagged the award for Best Rapper in West Africa.
African giant, Burna Boy who spearheaded the exportation of African music, won the major award as the Best Overall Male Artist of the Year.

At the AAEA awards, grammy winner Tems was recognized as a global talent who is pushing the boundaries for African artists when she earned the Best Global Female African Artist award.

Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platnumz, also took home the Best Global African Male Artist trophy, is one of the other 2025 AAEA Award winners.
