The drama intensified after the singer revealed the news of his relationship and subsequent engagement to Edo State house of rep member, Natasha Osawaru.
Despite her silence amid the drama, the embattled Annie Idibia faced intense backlash on from social media users with many blaming her for the failed marriage, stating that she should have left sooner.

In a recent interview, Annie reveals why she decided to stay mute in spite of all the buzz on social media.
Annie Idibia stated that after the messy separation, it was necessary for her to step backwards, reflect and focus on herself. She added that she took time embracing the pain, lessons and growth that came with the separation. She explained that she is currently on a journey of self-discovery and prioritising her growth, the well-being of her girls and her future.
