Kefilwe Mabote Burns Designer Clothes After Finding Christ

A video going around shows South African social media personality, Kefilwe Mabote, burning her expensive designer clothes as she claims she has found Christ.

Kefilwe Mabote explains via an Instagram post why she burnt the clothes instead of dashing them out to the needy after she became born again in Christ.

The caption on the post reads, “I’ve been getting questions about why I chose to burn Versace items instead of giving them away, and I want to take a moment to explain with care and understanding.

“The decision to burn the items came from a place of conviction. According to the Bible, such things are considered ‘accursed’ (see Joshua 7:13 for context). For example the image of Medusa represents a Greek god, from the marine kingdom and as believers, we cannot serve two masters.

To give these items away would be to pass on something I no longer stand for, and I can’t in good conscience transfer things that I know carry deep spiritual implications.”

The post has since drawn mixed reactions, as many still believed Kefilwe Mabote should have given them out regardless. While she was burning the clothes, she also vowed to expose wealthy men in her DM. A lot of people are waiting for that to happen.

She currently has 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
