TVC host Morayo Brown makes emotional confession “I was suicidal, depressed”

Morayo Brown, the long-time host of Television Continental’s(TVC) “Your View” morning show, has stepped down from the program after over ten years.

On Friday, the broadcaster released a video of her farewell performance, which moved many viewers to tears.

Fans at home and in the live audience gave Morayo heartfelt thanks in the video for the influence she had on their life and the lives of innumerable women who watched on a regular basis.

Guests applauded her modesty and her special ability to highlight others, while her co-anchors praised her for flawlessly redefining broadcasting.

In an emotional interview with Chude, the TVC hosts stated that she was depressed and suicidal adding that she walked on the streets expecting to be knocked down by a vehicle.

A woman from the UK wrote a  touching comment about how watching the show helped her deal with loneliness after moving overseas, calling Morayo Brown a place of solace and camaraderie.

As she considered her next move, Morayo Brown stated that a new assignment would mark the next stage of her career. She went on to say that before starting her next endeavour, she would first take a break.

“This assignment on Your View is now complete. My first step is to rest and hibernate before embarking on my next venture.

“The show has given many women a voice and inspired other similar programmes. I am deeply grateful to everyone I met through this journey,” she said.

Her resignation was confirmed in a statement issued by TVC Manager, PR, Corporate Communications & Marketing, Edward Akintara, stating that her last working day will be Thursday, August 29, 2025.

According to the network, Morayo Brown decided to resign in order to focus on a long-standing passion project that she had been nurturing for a long time.
