Slimcase advises his son to emulate Wizkid when he’s older, saying Wizkid has helped him stay consistent in all things
42-year-old content creator and rapper Oluwafemi Oladapo Oko-Eko, also known as “Slimcase” or “Eyan Wizzy”, whose hit song ‘Cod*ine Diet’ once made waves on the internet, has created buzz on the internet with his latest post.
Slimcase wrote; “MY SON when u grow up Emulate BIGWIZ👑❤️ Trust me it has helped ur father Consistency in all good things Stay composed bi Wizzy 🦅👑 #slimcaseshow.”
It is no news that the rapper, has publicly shared that he admires the Grammy-award-winner Wizkid and his lifestyle. And that he has always tried to be like Wizkid
This post did not sit down well with many social media users. And he faced an online backlash as fans wondered; why he would ask ‘his own son to emulate someone else’s father’.
However, Slimcase stressed that he prefers his son to grow up like Wizkid and not like him. saying Wizkid has helped him stay consistent in all good things. When it comes to diehard fan behaviour, Nigerians go all out for their favorite celebrities.
Note that content creator and rapper Slimcase is a die hard fan of Grammy Award winner Wizkid. His Instagram page is filled with videos of Wizkid. From recreating Wizkid’s content/music video to recreating his outfits.
But those are not the only ways that Slimcase has shown his love for Wizkid.
In terms of content, Slimcase recreated Wizkid’s teaser for Morayo.
He tattooed Wizkid’s face on his chest, and replicated the PRAY tattoo on his neck.
Slimcase also did visuals for the video of Wizkid’s new song “Piece of my heart”, He recreated Wizkd scene in Asake’s hit song, Morayo among others.
Fans are outraged, saying that ‘slimcase is only profiting off the singer and that soon, the singer would begin to dislike him’
But by using these methods, Slimcase who had fallen off the charts has been able to regain his fame as he now gets called to both local and international events at home and abroad.
In the viral IG post, Slimcase said that he would like his son to grow up like Wizkid because has a great impact on his life, and in his relevance in the entertainment industry.
In conclusion, just like Wizkid has impacted his life, Slimcase wants his son to have an impact on other people’s lives as well.
