Pastor Bolaji Idowu, founder of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has finally addressed the swirling allegations of his involvement in a N1.5 billion real estate fraud.

The cleric, who was recently questioned by the Nigerian Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, firmly denied the claims, clearing the air about his finances and property ownership.

Reports revealed that Pastor Bolaji, who started HICC in 2003, was being investigated for possible money laundering and real estate fraud.

Sources alleged that the pastor spent a night in custody as part of the probe, sparking curiosity and heated debates online.

In a public statement, Bolaji clarified the situation, dismissing the idea that he runs any real estate business. “The only property I own in Nigeria is the one left to me by my late parents,” he stated.

He emphasized that he neither buys nor sells properties and assured everyone that his bank accounts, being public, are transparent and above board.

He went on to thank his followers for their unwavering support during these challenging times. “Your love and prayers mean everything,” he shared, reminding them that the truth would prevail.

The allegations have triggered mixed reactions from the public. While some expressed frustration over what they saw as unwarranted attacks on men of God, others raised pointed questions. “You say you don’t own property in Nigeria.

But what about abroad?” one user asked. Another commenter, clearly exasperated, wrote, “Why are people always dragging pastors? What’s the color of your problem?”

Others took a broader perspective, arguing that Nigerian pastors often operate with more freedom than their counterparts abroad.

“If most Nigerian pastors were in the UK, the law would have caught up with them,” one comment read.

Still, another reiterated faith in the Church, declaring, “No matter how much you try, Jesus is King, and the Church will march on.”

Despite the accusations, Pastor Bolaji appears determined to maintain his stance and transparency. Whether these claims hold water or not, his supporters seem ready to stand by him, championing his message of faith and integrity.

For now, the truth behind the N1.5 billion allegation remains a hot topic of speculation and debate.
