Veteran Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze has broken the silence on the rumours widely spread across social media about his health.
Recall that it was recently rumored that the actor is currently battling a terminal illness and also in need of financial support.
Attached to this rumours were photos suggesting that Segun Arinze was indeed sick.
Following this, the actor has strongly debunked these rumours stating that he is hale and hearty. The actor clarified that the viral images were from a movie set and that he is in no way sick, restoring calm to concerned fans.
Segun Arinze took to his social media page to make this announcement , He stressed that this misinformation brought unnecessary embarrassment to his family and went ahead to condemn the misinformation.
Additionally, Segun Arinze disclosed his plan to take legal actions against the initiator of these false claims. He expressed gratitude to well-wishers who reached out to him, reassuring them.
Segun Arinze stated “To say that some people are mentally deranged will be an understatement. Firstly, I don’t know you from anywhere. We are not related, neither are we friends. And you had the guts to go on Facebook to post a picture of me on a movie set working. Then you decided to tell the world that a member of your family is sick (not me). I’m using this medium to clear the air—I am very hale and hearty.
“I’m not in any way sick. And also, let @Sarah Irete Ajayi Otagbo know that I will be taking legal action against her for spreading false news about me. You have caused me a lot of pain and embarrassment, not just to me but to my family and friends as well. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me. God bless.
