Nigerians had something to say about a recent video of fashion designer Veekee James and her husband at Prudent Gabriel’s wedding.
Prudent Gabriel, a Nigerian fashion designer, tied the knot with Peterson Okpobi over the weekend, and Veekee James was the maid of honour.
The ace Nigerian designer attended the event with her husband, Femi Atere, as they rocked matching white outfits.
In the video that went Viral, the designer was seen spraying the couple in dollars while her hubby, Femi Atere, sprayed them in naira The video drew the attention of Nigerian netizens, who had much to say about the scenario, and the designer herself
In the video circulating online, Prudent and Peterson were having a lovely couple dance on stage when Veekee and Femi walked towards them.
It was time for the common Nigerian tradition of spraying the couple money as they danced on the dance floor. An action that was likely done out of love for the newlyweds.
However, some eagle-eyed social media users noticed that while Veekee James sprayed the couple in dollar notes, her husband did the same, but in naira notes. The video left many social media users unsettled as they dropped their hot takes in the comments section.
While some threw jabs about Veekee being the head of the family, others defended that there was nothing wrong with it.
