Award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, recently shared a lesser-known fact about his affluent family during an interview with Business Untitled. Davido, known for hits like “Unavailable,” revealed that his father’s company is a major player in Nigeria’s energy sector, distributing a significant portion of the country’s energy.
Davido’s billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited and elder brother of Osun State governor Ademola Adeleke, has amassed substantial wealth through energy contracts and other ventures, including ownership of Adeleke University in Osun State.
During the interview, Davido disclosed that he has invested in his family’s energy business, which boasts four power plants valued at significant sums. These power plants play a critical role in Nigeria’s energy distribution network, supplying a substantial portion of the nation’s electricity.
