Joe Biden- Former US President

Ex-US President Joe Biden Battling Fast Spreading Cancer- Son

Hunter Biden has spoken about his father Joe Biden’s continuous cancer treatment, stating that the former US president’s illness has become increasingly difficult for the family to bear.

Hunter stated that Joe Biden’s cancer had spread to his bones, describing the sickness as painful and devastating.

He made the statements in a BBC interview published on Saturday while describing his father’s battle with the cancer.

“I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good — the cancer has spread,” Hunter said, adding that the disease had metastasised to his father’s bones “and further”.

“It’s very painful… very debilitating,” he said. “Cancer is really hard. It’s really sad to watch,” he stated.

Hunter, Biden’s sole surviving son, similarly acknowledged his father’s role in the family, saying, “My dad is, to this day, the center of our family.” “He is the best father, husband, and grandfather.”

Backstory…

In May 2025, four months after leaving the White House, Biden revealed that he had been diagnosed with a severe form of prostate cancer.

He later stated that his therapy was going well and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers he got.

“I’m dealing with a cancer diagnosis, been getting treatment, and it’s going really well,” Biden said last month. “I want to thank all those who have offered their prayers and support and well-wishes. It’s meant the world to me and to Jill.”

Following his diagnosis, Biden expressed optimism about his treatment, saying physicians anticipated him to respond to medication.

The former president has recently stated that he is spending more time with his family while undergoing treatment. His health had already been a topic of public debate in the last months of his presidency and the 2024 presidential campaign.

Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential run in July 2024, and Vise President Kamala Harris took his place as the Democratic nominee. Harris later lost the election to Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s memoir, Promise Me, America, is scheduled for publication in November.
