Explosive 2027 Claim: Dele Momodu Says No Guarantee Atiku Will Defeat Obi at Primaries

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has said there is no certainty that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would defeat Peter Obi at the party’s primaries.

Dele Momodu made the statement on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’, where he spoke on political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections and Obi’s reported move from the ADC to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dele Momodu said:

“There is no guarantee that Atiku will defeat Obi at the primaries.

“Obi is not my enemy. It is good that he goes to test his popularity elsewhere, and others should also do the same. But Atiku cannot be imposed.

“How are you sure that Atiku will retain all those who voted for him last time? And what guarantees that Obi or Kwankwaso will retain all their previous supporters?

“The political situation has changed. Even President Tinubu, if he allows a free and fair election, may not even get three million votes,” he added.
