Guzangs debuts its inaugural fashion event in Lagos!

Amid Lagos’ vibrant lights and bustling red carpets, Guzangs stole the spotlight as the pinnacle of African fashion. On March 14, 2024, the renowned fashion and lifestyle platform made its debut in Nigeria at Lala’s Place in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event attracted celebrities, fashion icons, press members, and key personalities.

Founder Idelle Taye, adorned in a stunning LadyMaker piece, shared her journey of passion for fashion and the brand’s mission to inspire aspiring designers. Maliz Mahop, an advocate for African creativity, introduced Guzangs, highlighting its achievements in promoting African designers like Afrokrema and Muyishime.

Sara Sozzani Maino, Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani and CNCC, encouraged African designers to focus on the business side of fashion for global visibility. She stressed the importance of creating messages and changes through fashion.
