Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving three commissioners in a bid to improve efficiency and strengthen service delivery in key ministries.
The development was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, and made available to journalists on the approval of Governor Dauda Lawal.
Under the changes, Abdulrahaman Tumbido was moved from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Kasimu Yahya Kaura was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Similarly, Tasiu Musa Shinkafi was transferred from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The state government said the reshuffle was designed to enhance performance and improve the implementation of government policies across the affected ministries.
The changes take immediate effect, with the governor directing the commissioners to complete handover processes within one week.
Governor Dauda Lawal also urged the affected officials to show renewed commitment and dedication in their new roles.
