Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has categorically denied rumors suggesting he is considering a defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as entirely false and politically motivated.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Dauda Iliya, Governor Zulum criticized the reports, which surfaced on several online platforms, labeling them as “baseless fabrications” intended to stir political tension and confusion within the state.
“We have become aware of a fictitious and mischievous social media report circulating in certain quarters, alleging plans by me to decamp from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, alongside five other governors,” the statement read.
