Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has called on elected officials and political appointees to develop and implement impactful programmes aimed at improving the socio-economic well-being of the people.

He made the call during the official flag-off ceremony for the distribution of 120 new motorcycles to All Progressives Congress (APC) ward executives, an event organized by Senator Babangida Hussain of Jigawa North West and held in Kazaure.
Governor Namadi emphasized that APC ward executives serve as the government’s grassroots representatives in their communities and, as such, deserve greater recognition and support.
According to him, “through this kind of programmes and policies by elected officials and political appointees electorates will feel more recognise and will benefit from the dividend of democracy.”

On his part, the senator representing Jigawa North West senatorial district, Senator Babangida Hussaini Kazaure, said the donation is aimed at supporting and encouraging the party ward executives to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.
Governor Umar Namadi said they played a key role in representing, protecting and promoting the party and government activities.
Governor Umar Namadi urged the party members to continue to work for the victory of the party in the coming 2027 general elections.
