Jude Okoye’s wife breaks silence amid the ongoing P-Square controversy after singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, made fresh allegations concerning the management and ownership of the former music group’s assets.
Ifeoma Okoye, wife of music executive Jude Okoye, addressed the controversy in a statement shared on her official Instagram page on Monday, shortly after Peter released another episode of his video series detailing his long-running disagreement with his elder brother.
In the latest episode, Mr P alleged that Jude Okoye attempted to transfer ownership rights of one of P-Square’s properties to Ifeoma, claiming he rejected the move after discovering documents bearing her name.
Reacting to the allegations, Jude Okoye’s wife breaks silence without directly mentioning Peter or Jude, stating that she was aware of the conversations surrounding her but had no intention of engaging in public arguments or defending herself.
“I have no desire to defend myself before those who are committed to misunderstanding me. Truth does not need manipulation to prevail, and I trust God to vindicate what is right,” she wrote.
Ifeoma added that silence should not be mistaken for fear, explaining that she had chosen to leave the matter in God’s hands rather than participate in accusations or public exchanges.
Referencing the biblical story of Ananias and Sapphira, she stated that no one can deceive God, describing Him as the ultimate judge who reveals falsehood and upholds the truth in His own time.
She concluded her message by praying for mercy, healing, and restoration, asking God to repair damaged relationships, soften hearts, and guide everyone involved towards truth, humility, and peace.
The statement from Jude Okoye’s wife breaks silence comes amid the escalating P-Square family dispute involving Peter Okoye and Jude Okoye over allegations surrounding the group’s management, finances, and assets.
Jude Okoye has yet to publicly respond to Peter Okoye’s latest allegations.
BACKSTORY:
The latest controversy is part of a renewed dispute between Peter Okoye (Mr P) and his elder brother Jude Okoye over the collapse of their former music group, P-Square.
P-Square, made up of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, became one of Africa’s most successful music groups before their first split in 2016. Their breakup was linked to disagreements involving management, finances, and creative decisions, with Jude Okoye, who managed the group, also becoming involved in the controversy.
Although Peter and Paul reunited in 2021, tensions later resurfaced, leading to another fallout. In recent weeks, Peter has released a series of videos sharing his side of the story, making allegations about the management of the group and ownership of some assets.
His latest claims involving Jude and Ifeoma Okoye have brought the family dispute back into public discussion, with fans debating the allegations and calling for both sides to share their perspectives.
Ifeoma’s response marks her first public reaction to the recent accusations, as she maintained that she would not engage in a public battle and instead chose to rely on faith and allow the truth to emerge.
