Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s senior special assistant on media, Ossai Ovie Success, has said that his offer to Comfort Emmanson, the traveler who was charged with assaulting airline authorities on an Ibom Air trip, “is personal.”
According to Legit.ng, on Sunday, August 17, Success clarified this via his X handle on Sunday, August 17.
Recall that on Wednesday, August 13, Success revealed an offer for Miss Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger, following her release from custody at the Kirikiri prison in Lagos. Success claimed to have found Emmanson a job in Delta State with a N500,000 monthly salary in posts on his well-known social media platforms.
Additionally, the governor’s assistant pledged to cover the full cost of a trip to the state, which would include airfare, lodging in a five-star hotel, guided tours, and admission to the Delta Social Media Summit in Asaba on Thursday, August 28.
He claimed that the offer is intended to assist the Ibom Air passenger in “unwinding” following her experience in prison.

Taking to his X account, he wrote, “Considering the trauma she experienced, which could lead to depression or suicidal thoughts, I felt compelled to act. “She’s shown remorse, and I believe it’s time to support her in her journey towards rehabilitation. “That was also the reason i offered her ticket to attend the 3rd Edition of the Delta Social Media Summit Coming Up August 28 at the Maryam Babangida Leisure park in Asaba.

“My intention is to promote kindness and rehabilitation, not to condone unruly behaviour. “In Delta state, we prioritise helping those in need, regardless of their background, because we recognise our shared humanity as Nigerians. I’m sorry if my kind gesture has been misconstrued as it now appears”, he added.
