Insecurity: “Explosive outburst” – Actor Laide Olabanji blasts Tinubu, says Nigerians are dying under his mandate

Laide Olabanji, a veteran Nollywood actor and Chief Executive Officer of LAIBAN Films International, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over what he described as the government’s failure to adequately protect the lives and property of Nigerians.

Reacting to the worsening security situation across the country, Laide Olabanji referenced the recent killing of a teacher who was reportedly beheaded in Oyo State, alongside the continuous attacks and killings linked to bandits in Plateau State.

The filmmaker condemned the government’s handling of insecurity, questioning its compassion and commitment to the welfare of citizens. He expressed frustration over the persistent bloodshed and what he described as the administration’s lack of urgency in addressing the crisis.

Speaking in pidgin, Laide Olabanji lamented that Nigerians continue to lose their lives daily under the current administration, accusing the government of failing to respond effectively to the growing insecurity.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, he also criticised the government over issues such as poor electricity supply, bad roads, rising hunger, and fuel prices.

Laide Olabanji urged the authorities to prioritise security if other economic challenges cannot immediately be resolved, stressing that Nigeria is bleeding as citizens continue to fall victim to bandits and kidnappers across the country.
