Toyin Abraham has expressed sadness over the recent killings and abductions involving teachers and children in Oyo State and other parts of Nigeria.
In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the actress said the wave of violence across the country has left her deeply heartbroken, especially because of her strong personal connection to Oyo State through family, culture, and her love for the people.
Toyin Abraham lamented the loss of innocent lives, the trauma faced by affected communities, and the fear many children and families now live with due to the growing insecurity.

She sympathised with the families of the victims, particularly parents whose children were abducted, as well as those affected by the attacks in Oriire Local Government Area and other parts of the state.
According to her, no Nigerian should have to live in fear, while children should be able to attend school safely without anxiety over violence or kidnappings.
The filmmaker also commended security agencies and the Oyo State Government for their efforts but urged authorities to take more decisive and urgent steps to rescue those still in captivity and improve the protection of lives and communities.
She further questioned the measures being put in place by the state government to prevent similar incidents in the future, stressing that violence should never become normalised in the country.
Toyin Abraham called for unity, compassion, and collective responsibility among Nigerians, while praying for peace, healing, and comfort for grieving families.
The reaction follows reports that a male teacher abducted in Oyo State was allegedly beheaded by his captors, while several others were reportedly killed in attacks in Oyo and Katsina states.
