The Federal Government has emphasised that in order to combat the wave of insecurity plaguing Nigeria, allies must provide help.
This was said by George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, during a courtesy visit to Abuja by a strong delegation of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, CBCN, headed by Archbishop Leonard Kawas.

Akume reaffirmed that the administration led by Bola Tinubu was making every effort to tackle the nations raging insecurity crisis, protect people and property, and he also asked for cooperation from foreign friends in order to combat the threat.
“But the government is seriously committed to eradicating insecurity… We need support from our allies to be able to fight terrorists in the land”, he was quoted as saying in a statement by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, on Friday.

He admitted that President Tinubu’s administration had received a vote of confidence, which he claimed was evidence of the administration’s efforts to address insecurity and other issues plaguing the nation.
He claims that in order to create a robust and virile Nigeria for everybody, the current administration has been collaborating with traditional leaders, businesspeople, the private sector, political leaders, and religious leaders.

Additionally, Akume asked religious organisations to offer prayers for the nation’s prosperity and peace.
