Iran  has yet again launched multiple waves of missiles into Israel on Tuesday morning, March 24, triggering air raid sirens across major cities including Tel Aviv, according to the Israeli military.

A multi-story residential structure in Tel Aviv suffered significant damage as a result of explosions. While some citizens were spotted taking refuge in protected areas, emergency responders reported that operations were underway to rescue civilians trapped in the damaged structures.

The escalation follows Donald Trump’s announcement that the United States would temporarily halt its planned assault on Iran’s energy facilities, citing “productive” talks with Iranian leaders to end Middle East tensions.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials have vehemently denied any discussions. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf called Trump’s assertions “fake news”, further accusing the United States of trying to influence the world’s oil and financial markets.

Similarly, the Revolutionary Guards of Iran likewise characterised the remarks as psychological ploys that had no bearing on their military plan.

Israel, however, acknowledged that its air force conducted widespread strikes in Tehran that targeted important military and intelligence installations, including missile infrastructure and locations connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to reports, dozens of strategic sites were struck.

Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital conduit for gas and oil supplies, have increased due to the ongoing battle. Fears of serious disruptions to the world’s energy markets have been heightened by Iran’s actions in the area.
