Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described Israel’s strikes on Lebanon as a violation of the ceasefire agreement with the United States, adding that it would render negotiations meaningless.
Recall that Iran and the US reached a ceasefire deal on Tuesday based on a 10-point plan to achieving peace proposed by the Islamic Republic.
The US and Israel, however, claim that the ceasefire only applies to assaults between the US, Israel, and Iran. Since then, Israel has kept attacking Lebanon.

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf stated on Thursday that Lebanon was a crucial component of the two-week ceasefire with the United States, despite the fact that specifics of the 10-point plan have not yet been disclosed.
In a tweet on X(formerly twitter), the Iranian president said his country would continue to stand by Lebanon.
“Israel’s renewed incursion into Lebanon is a blatant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement. This is a dangerous sign of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements. The continuation of these actions will render negotiations meaningless. Our fingers remain on the trigger. Iran will never abandon its Lebanese sisters and brothers,” Pezeshkian said.

Additionally, Ghalibaf denounced the United States for its “repeated” breaches of agreements.
The 10-point plan included an acknowledgement of Iran’s uranium enrichment.
However, US President Donald Trump stated that the US will cooperate with Iran to uncover and remove the nation’s underground uranium.

According to Ghalibaf, negotiations in the face of violations, would be unreasonable.
