Dr. Kabiru Turaki, the newly elected national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised Nigerians and party members that there will be no more impunity or repression of their will.
This was stated by Kabiru Turaki during his acceptance speech following his announcement as the PDP’s new National Chairman at the party’s 2025 elective National Convention on Saturday in Ibadan.

According to previous reports by NaijaEyes, Turaki ran unopposed and was victorious, with a total of 1,516 votes.
Kabiru Turaki reassured party members that the newly elected party officials would not be taken for granted and do everything within their capacity to fulfil their duties.
“I want to assure you that the confidence reposed in the executives will not be taken for granted.

“There will be no more impunity and suppression of the will of Nigerian people and we shall open our ears wide to listen to you to determine what you want and what you want is what we shall give you,” Turaki said.
The newly elected Chairman also gave party members the assurance that the party would be fair, equitable, and just going forward.
According to Kabiru Turaki, the PDP was at a turning point as a party, but the new executives were capable of handling the difficulties.

He added that the new executives would start paying courtesy visits to some of the aggrieved pdp members to appeal to those with genuine grievances to return to the party in order to “save Nigeria’s democracy from imminent collapse.”
Meanwhile, the newly elected PDP national chairman was expelled the FCT minister, Nyseom Wike, Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose and the PDP acting national secretary, Anyawnu over what he described as anti-party conducts.
