Kiekie explains why she avoids collaborating with some colleagues

Nigerian content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has revealed why she refuses to collaborate with certain colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Speaking during a recent podcast interview, the media personality explained that she does not work with skit makers whose content she considers excessively vulgar or indecent, stressing that such collaborations do not align with her values and brand.

Defending her decision, she noted that it does not align with her brand. “I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them.”

The interviewer said: “Give me one name.”

She responded: “Let me think about it. Hmmm. I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment.

“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognize your hard work but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work.”

Kiekie has established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading content creators and media personalities, earning recognition for her family-friendly comedy skits, fashion content and television appearances. Over the years, she has built a reputation for producing clean, relatable content, a style that has attracted major brand partnerships and a loyal audience across social media platforms.

As Nigeria’s digital entertainment industry continues to expand, collaborations among content creators and skit makers have become increasingly common, with many influencers joining forces to reach wider audiences. However, Kiekie has consistently maintained that every collaboration must align with her personal values and the image she has carefully built over the years.

It was against this backdrop that the comedian explained why she avoids working with content creators whose material she considers excessively vulgar or indecent, saying such partnerships do not reflect the standards she wants to uphold.
