Late Mr Ibu’s family speaks out on hardship and struggles since his passing

The family of late Nollywood actor and comedian Mr Ibu has spoken about the hardship they have been facing since his passing.

During a recent visit by content creator King Mitchy, the family revealed that Mr Ibu’s only daughter and two sons have been forced to drop out of school due to financial difficulties.

They also disclosed that they have been living without electricity and running water for weeks because they are unable to pay the bills.

According to the children’s mother, life has become extremely challenging for the family since the actor’s death.

She explained that they now fetch water from a well because they have fallen behind on house expenses, while their electricity supply has been disconnected for about two months, forcing them to seek places outside the home to charge their phones.

Mr Ibu’s daughter, while appealing to Nigerians for support, praised her mother for doing everything possible to provide food, pay school fees, and care for the family despite the struggles.

Holding back tears, the children’s mother also revealed that the school recently contacted her over outstanding tuition fees.

Mr Ibu had undergone a leg amputation in November 2023 after battling an illness that required multiple surgeries. He later died in Lagos on March 2, 2024, at the age of 62 following cardiac arrest.
