Maverick Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has stated that there will be no reconciliation between him and Afrobeats star Wizkid, insisting that their disagreement is permanent.
The rift between both artists reportedly began after Wizkid claimed he was greater than Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, following Seun Kuti’s earlier call for fans to stop comparing the “Ojuelegba” singer to his late father.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Seun Kuti was asked if the issue between him and Wizkid had been resolved. He firmly dismissed any possibility of reconciliation, saying the matter is irreversible.
Responding to the question, Seun Kuti said the issue is “for life,” stressing that disrespecting his late father leaves no room for forgiveness.
“There is no coming back from that,” he stated, making it clear that the feud remains unresolved.
