The Nigerian police have detained a clergyman identified as Evangelist Daniel after he made a video reporting an alleged bandits’ attack on a church programme in Nasarawa State.
According to X user, Evangelist Isaac Agada (@Ruralevangelist) around noon on Wednesday, Daniel has been with the police for over 12 hours.

“Our brother in Christ, Evangelist Daniel Who made a video reporting bandits Attack In Agboda village in Nasarawa State has been arrested and in detention for the past 12 hours according to his wife Elizabeth Ukpo Daniel,” the post said.
In the video clip he shared, people were captured running in different directions amid fears of a reported herdsmen attack on the church crusade programme.

Attempts to reach the Nasarawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, but calls to his line were not answered as of the time of filing this report.
Concern over the growing number of bandit attacks in Nigeria, which have resulted in the kidnapping of numerous citizens and the deaths of others, has persisted.

Recall that a CAC church in Kwara State was attacked during a service, leaving three congregants dead.
Following that was an abduction of over 300 students by bandits from a catholic school in Niger state
