Buba Galadima, a prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and ally of former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, said the party has zoned its presidential ticket to the South ahead of the primaries.
In an interview with Channels Television, Galadima explicitly said the party is finalising its updated membership registration and will submit it between Tuesday and Wednesday.
He said, “The NDC will submit its register either on the 5th or 6th of this month. Once that is done, we are good to go.”He also clarified that the party would be able to begin its internal electoral process once the register is submitted.Buba Galadima
Galadima further affirmed that the party has adopted a hard stance on zoning, designating it to the southern region of the nation on its presidential ticket.
“No missing words, we have zoned it to the South,” he declared.
“Therefore, whoever from the South who is interested should go and register quickly.”
Additionally, Galadima stated that internal preparations were already ongoing to ensure the party meets all statutory requirements and avoids delays in its political timetable.
