NEC Gives Four States Ultimatum on State Police Report
The National Economic Council (NEC) has set a deadline of September 9 for four states to submit reports on the establishment of state police. NEC plans to adopt reports from all states and the FCT, warning that decisions made will be binding on states that fail to comply. This initiative aims to address security challenges across the country. Additionally, NEC discussed the devastating impact of floods, with the federal government releasing N3 billion in relief. The council also established a flood committee to assess damages and provide further support.
