Arise Television political editor, Sumner Sambo, has urged Peter Obi to remain in the Nigeria Democratic Congress and fight for the party’s future amid its ongoing legal battle.
Sambo made the appeal on Monday during an appearance on The Morning Show on Arise Television, following the recent Federal High Court ruling in Lokoja, Kogi State, which overturned its earlier judgment directing the Independent National Electoral Commission to register the NDC as a political party.
Questioning the repeated political setbacks Obi has faced across different parties, Sambo argued that it was time for the former presidential candidate to stand his ground instead of considering another exit.
According to Sumner Sambo, Obi has faced similar challenges in the Peoples Democratic Party, the Labour Party, and now the NDC, suggesting a recurring pattern of resistance against his political ambitions.
Sambo maintained that leaving the NDC would not end the challenges, insisting Obi should stay, prove his political strength, and fight through the current crisis.
