National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has stated that northerners feel aggrieved with President Tinubu over his failure to deliver on his commitments to the nation.
Baba-Ahmed stressed that dissatisfaction with the Tinubu administration extends beyond the North, noting that citizens across the country are frustrated by the government’s inability to tackle the issues it promised to resolve.
He made these observations on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
According to him, the widespread anger toward Tinubu stems from the perception that the President remains indifferent to the public and has defaulted on his campaign promises.
“It’s nothing to do with being northern at all. There are a lot of elite, there are a lot of Nigerians who are angry with Tinubu because he’s not listening to anybody,” he said.
He added that northerners are frustrated with the President not simply because he neglected them, but because they share the same concerns as other Nigerians regarding his administration’s performance.
“I can tell you, the North is not angry with Tinubu because he’s not listening to them. The North is angry with Tinubu like other Nigerians are angry with Tinubu because he came here on the promise to fix a lot of the things that are wrong, and he didn’t,” Baba-Ahmed added.
