Odegbami advises Finidi against meddling in Peseiro’s tactics.
Segun Odegbami has advised Finidi George to forge his own coaching path rather than replicating Jose Peseiro’s defensive tactics. While Peseiro’s strategies led Nigeria to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final, Odegbami believes they were not convincing and even caused stress among fans. He warned Finidi against modeling his approach after Peseiro’s, urging him to develop his own philosophy based on his knowledge and experience in Nigerian football. Despite the pressure, Finidi has vowed to bring a more offensive style to the Super Eagles under his leadership.
