The Abuja-based artist described Lagos as a “selfish city,” warning that artists who rise through the ranks there risk becoming greedy, selfish, and self-centered.
According to him, being raised and building his career in Abuja gave him a unique advantage in the Nigerian music industry.
On his X handle, he wrote, “The worst place for a young artist to grow is Lagos. It’s the most selfish place to grow.
“You will become them; a greedy, selfish, and self-centered packaged beast.
“That’s why it was easy to run through the industry as The Machine wey I be. I too real for una.”
