Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has responded to his first-ever Grammy nomination.

According to reports, Omah Lay received his debut Grammy nod for his collaboration with Davido on the hit song “With You,” which was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
Reacting on his Instagram page, Omah Lay expressed excitement over the recognition but noted that he isn’t overly concerned about awards.
He, however, said he wants Davido to win the award, describing him as his realest friend in a while.

“I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah but I really want it for OBO! he is the realest friend I’ve had in while, he stood by during my hardest times,” Omah Lay wrote.

The 2026 Grammy is scheduled for February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with a global broadcast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
