The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, led by Tanimu Turaki, has disintegrated into a section led by Aaron Chukwuemeka that is loyal to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.
Robinson Nname Ewor, the factional chairman of the Turaki-led PDP in Rivers State, made the declaration on Friday while Wike was visiting the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.
Ewor accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of deceiving members of the peoples democratic party in the state by asserting that he is capable of defeating Wike in the current political race in Rivers State during a media briefing in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
Ewor strongly declared that the party is no longer factionalised in Rivers State, a development that raises questions about the fate of the Turaki-led faction in the state.

He said, “Finally before I go. I’m Sim’s PDP Chairman. I hope you people know. You people should know. I’m his Chairman.
“Today, I’m handing over that Chairmanship, leadership of that faction to Aaron Chukwuemeka.
“PDP is no longer factionalized in Rivers State. PDP is under one Chairman and under one leadership, under the FCT leader.”
