Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that no Southern Nigerian state would vote against President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
The leader of the APC asserted on his Facebook page that the opposition parties’ states will back the APC in the election.
According to him, regardless of the party they support, no state in Southern Nigeria would vote for a party other than the APC in 2027.
He said, “No one single state in Southern Nigeria, no matter the party it belongs to, will vote for any other party except APC in 2027,.
“Please know this and have inner peace. It is what it is”.

His comments came in the wake of rumors that some governors from the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, particularly in the South, were showing interest in securing Tinubu’s reelection.

On Wednesday, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori left the PDP to join the ruling APC ahead of the election.
