APC Blast Kwankwaso, stating you are a political refugee
Senator Rabiu kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate, has now come under the hilt from the All Progressives Congress, APC, which has outrightly branded him as a sacked NNPP imposter and a political refugee who has no value anywhere.
Kwankwaso had boasted that he would make APC a non-political subject in Kano by reducing the voting parentage to below 15, 000 votes in the forthcoming general elections of 2027.
But in what could be described as an inappropriate response to his claim, the APC lashed out, calling Kwankwaso’s statement laughable from somebody who lost a Political Camp after being allegedly sacked from NNPP.
The Chairman of the state chapter, Prince Abdullahi Abass in a statement on Thursday called on Kwankwaso to stop day dreaming and rather channel his energies towards reclaiming his membership in the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
APC described Kwankwaso as a Political Refugee who has attached himself to the state Governor Abba Yusuf like a leech in the fruitless hope of regaining relevance in the scheme of things in the country.
APC further warned Kwankwaso and his ilks that it will not allow a repeat of the vote manipulation and allocation that made it seem as if the NNPP was well rooted in Kano State during the 2023 general election.
“Our teeming supporters in the APC do not need to worry about Kwankwaso, who was booted out of the NNPP because of his cluelessness and self-centeredness. We expect Kwankwaso to keep wondering why he has become a wanderer in the political terrain,” noted APC.
“He ran away from APC because he couldn’t fit into our progressive ideals. His over-bloated ego and domineering posture forced him to abandon the PDP and he has now become a political refugee because the NNPP refused to accommodate him.”
Recall that the boast was made by Kwankwaso while meeting with some former councillors and senior special advisors who had worked under Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration.
While addressing his stakeholders at a meeting in his Kano residence specifically with those from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, he attributed such performance to the team’s efforts during the 2023 elections, where the Peoples Democratic Party fought hard to secure a mere 15,000 votes in Kano.
Kwanwaso said that his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, achieved this remarkable feat despite being a new political platform coupled with the late start of its campaign.
“Now, it is our turn to cut down the votes of the APC. We would ensure that less than 15,000 votes come for them in Kano in 2027,” added Kwankwaso.
While addressing his stakeholders at the meeting held at his home in Kano with those from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, he ascribed such performance to the team efforts during the 2023 elections, where even the Peoples Democratic Party struggled to secure just 15,000 votes in Kano.
He noted that his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, achieved this amazing feat while being a new political platform and with late start of campaign.
“Now it is our turn to reduce the votes of APC. We would ensure that less than 15,000 votes come from them in Kano by the year 2027,” he added.
