Atiku criticizes Tinubu for favoring family interests over national concerns, citing Seyi’s connections with the Chagoury company.
Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, has accused President Bola Tinubu of prioritizing his family’s business interests over the welfare of Nigeria. He raised concerns about Tinubu’s son, Seyi, serving as a director in CDK Integrated Industries, a company affiliated with Chagoury Group, which is involved in the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project. Atiku emphasized that this association breaches procurement laws and questioned the transparency of the project, which is the most expensive ever undertaken by Nigeria. He also highlighted the lack of competitive bidding and raised concerns about similar projects in the future. Atiku criticized the demolition of properties within the Oniru corridor, suggesting that such actions hinder foreign direct investment.
