African Democratic Congress (ADC) spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi has stated that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, cannot “take the risk” of rejoining the PDP.
He claimed that Obi is a member of the ADC alliance. This was said by Abdullahi on Monday during an appearance on Prime Time on Arise TV.
Bolaji made these remarks while responding to enquiries on Obi being coerced by the PDP to rejoin the party.
“Let me say clearly, Peter Obi is in the coalition,” Abdullahi said.
“Regardless of what anybody is saying. But it is good to see that it has taken the coming on board of ADC, to get PDP to begin to make some movements.
“But everyone knows the jugular of the PDP is in the hands of the ruling party.
“Peter Obi, more than anyone else, knows that he cannot take the risk of going to the PDP.”
Meanwhile, the Ondo state governor, Aiyedatiwa has called for the resignation of coalition leaders, urging them to step down and put aside their presidential aspirations for Tinubu to be reelected ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at a political gathering in Ado Ekiti on Monday to garner support for his Ekiti State counterpart, Abiodun Oyebanji, Aiyedatiwa predicted that Tinubu will win handily and be re-elected.
