Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has announced his intention to support Comfort Emmanson, the passenger involved in a recent confrontation with Ibom Air.

The Akwa Ibom governor also reaffirmed his support for Ibom Air, which is owned by the Akwa Ibom State government.
Emmanson is a native of Akwa Ibom.
Although Eno did not specify the exact nature of the support, he emphasized that both Emmanson and the airline “belong to Akwa Ibom State and should therefore be supported.”
Recall that after her dispute with the airline crew, Emmanson was remanded but later pardoned by the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.
In an interview, Emmanson revealed that the incident left her traumatized, affecting her ability to move freely and interact with others due to the undue exposure of her body.

Speaking during a grand reception held for him in his hometown of Nsit Ubium on Saturday, Akwa Ibom Governor urged the people of Akwa Ibom to avoid taking sides or assigning blame to either the airline or the passenger, acknowledging that mistakes may have been made by both parties.
Akwa Ibom Governor said, “We will continue to support our flagship airline , the Ibom Air. Every Akwa Ibom person should be proud of the airline which has flown our colours.
“Our money is invested in Ibom Air, so you should be proud of the airline. If there was any crisis, do not join issues with others who are spoilers because they don’t love good things. Whatever had transpired, we will solve the problem. It was a small mistake, both parties belong to us. The lady is our daughter. When two people fight, there is always the third person to separate the fight.” Akwa Ibom Governor.
