APC chieftain Oyintiloye has criticized the withdrawal of services in Osun LG workers, describing it as unnecessary and disappointing.
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, an APC chieftain in Osun, has condemned the withdrawal of services by local government workers in council areas, calling it unfortunate and disheartening.
As a former lawmaker, he noted that the worker’s actions have led to administrative paralysis in local government areas, causing hardship for grassroots communities.
Speaking to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday, he urged the workers to resume work immediately to prevent the total collapse of council operations.

Oyintiloye stated that essential services at local government offices across the State had been severely disrupted for the past month due to worker’s withdrawal of services.
According to him, many pregnant women at the grassroots were unable to receive routine immunizations, while job applicants requiring essential documents for federal jobs applications were also affected.
Oyintiloye urged the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state to prevent further disruptions.
He emphasized that since both unions are meant to be political, they should uphold their founding principles which include serving any government in power.
to ensure safety, Oyintiloye stated that council chairman would collaborate with security agencies to provide adequate protection for workers upon their return.

The APC chieftain noted security agencies had brought the perceived crisis in council areas under control, ensuring a peaceful environment for workers to resume their duties.
According to him, “since both unions are supposed to be apolitical, they should uphold the tenets of their creation and which is to serve all government in power.”
He also commended a faction of NULGE operating under the Association of Concerned Local Government Staff, for their willingness to return to work.
