The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, has complimented President Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as important in rejuvenating Nigeria’s economy.
Speaking Sunday at the Abia State Renewed Hope Partners’ inauguration in Bende, which was organised by Rt. Hon. He cited the elimination of fuel subsidies and exchange rate unification as significant policy choices that have received praise from global institutions like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He claimed that because of the substantial rise in government money brought about by these reforms, large-scale federal infrastructure projects across the nation are now possible.
Members of the Abia-based Renewed Hope Partners were urged by Ononogbu to collaborate with the APC in order to inform Nigerians about the accomplishments of President Tinubu’s administration. In addition, he urged state’s estranged APC members to rejoin the party, emphasising the value of cooperation in accomplishing regional and national objectives.

“We must work together to spread the Renewed Hope message, ensure the re-election of President Tinubu, and reposition the APC to take over the government of Abia State,” he stated.
The APC chairman praised the advancements in road infrastructure under Governor Alex Otti’s administration, stating that they are superior to those of Otti’s predecessors. He did, however, criticise the administration for its opaque contract awarding and implementation practices.
Dr. Ononogbu also accused the governor of having bad judgement and misaligned priorities by continuing to use his private residence rather than the Government House.
