Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, emphasised Monday that President Bola Tinubu needs a second term to finish his economic reforms and asked members of the ruling All Progressives Congress to stay committed to re-electing him in 2027.
Keyamo, a Senior Advocate for Nigeria, stated in an interview on a Television programme that it would be “tragic” for a new administration to reverse the economic and budgetary policies that the Tinubu-led government is now implementing.

“The most profound thing I will say here today is that every single APC member in this country today should be concentrating on the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, irrespective of whether it affects your personal interest or not,”
Keyamo further explained, “It will be tragic for any government to come in 2027 and stop these reforms. This is what has happened in the past where you have all kinds of inchoate policies being implemented” he said.
Meanwhile, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the 2023 presidnetial candidate of the social democratic party (SDP) has issues a warning to bitter polticians seeking revenge against Tinubu or the APC, stating that they will not find a home in the party.

He emphasized that while the SDP was open to new members, they should ensure to act by the rules governing the party. He further warned against defectors against resolving old political grievances through the SDP.

“That is why you have seen some of the reactions as people are joining our party; we welcome them and we tell them ideological issues and we also tell them all these shenanigans that you do in your party, don’t bring them here,” Adebayo said.
