Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar visited former Sokoto State governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, at his Abuja residence on Monday.

According to reports, the visit came shortly after Tambuwal’s recent release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Tambuwal, a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, was detained by the EFCC over allegations of financial misconduct during his time as governor of Sokoto State.
His arrest and questioning have generated mixed reactions across the country, with party members, especially the African Democratic Congress, ADC, describing it as politically motivated.
Meanwhile, Atiku, in a post on X, expressed relief over Tambuwal’s wellbeing, saying, “I visited Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at his residence in Abuja earlier today. I am happy seeing him in good, unbroken, and unwavering spirit.”
