Bala Mohammed Tells Wike: Bauchi Can’t Be Set on Fire”
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has responded to threats made by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stating that Bauchi has “enough water to quench the fire” Wike threatened to ignite in states led by PDP governors. Wike’s threats came after a PDP congress in Rivers State, where he warned governors against interfering in the affairs of Rivers State and its governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking during a meeting with members of PDP’s National Working Committee in Bauchi, Mohammed assured that his state remains united and stable. He emphasized the importance of respecting diversity, leadership, and the rule of law within the PDP, while dismissing any personal conflict with Wike.
Meanwhile, Wike also held a closed-door meeting with the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT), led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, to address internal party issues, particularly in Rivers State.
