Lake Chad Security forces neutralize the Terrorist group, Boko Haram in a gun battle at Chad’s Presidential Palace on Wednesday.
Recent reports coming from Nigeria’s neighboring country, Niger, say they have contained the terrorist group, Boko Haram, in a deadly crossfire that occurred on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the terrorist group attacked the presidential palace in N’Djamena but was quickly contained and neutralized by the Directorate General of Security Services and Internal Exile (DGSSIE).
This was confirmed by Zagazola Makama, security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in Lake Chad.
Makama stated: “The DGSSIE, Chad’s Directorate General of Security Services and Internal Exile, demonstrated their efficiency in neutralizing the threat, ensuring the safety of government institutions and key personnel.”
More information from the reports did not state the number of casualties recorded on both sides, but eyewitnesses confirmed some of the terrorists were captured alive.
With this attack, the security has been beefed up and telecommunications turned off to check for any suspected security breach.
