Following his inauguration, Donald Trump has now been officially sworn in as the 47th United States President. He succeeds Joe Biden, who was the 46th President of the United States.
Before the swearing-in ceremony, Trump and his wife, Melania, started off the inauguration activities by attending services at St. John’s Church before proceeding to the Capitol Rotunda.
Trump had moved the ceremony indoors due to the harsh cold weather conditions. Naijaeyes reports that the last time this was done was in 1985, during Ronald Reagan’s second swearing in.
The oath-taking ceremony was handled by Chief Justice John Roberts. In attendance were celebrities, friends, foes, and former presidents—Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
Also in attendance were Ex-President Joe Biden and Ex-Vice President Kamala Haris.
A lot of people are keen to see what the Trump-led administration will do in the next 4 years for the United States and for the world.
